master bedroom redo update: new bed

If you are my husband, sorry babe. I went ahead and purchased a beautiful upholstered bed for our master bedroom. I know it's trendy and you see them everywhere, but I've wanted one for soooo long. 


Words of wisdom. Always email the vendor and ask for a fabric swatch. For example, I had my eye on this regal, neutral wingback bed for awhile now:

I loved the tufting and how neutral it was. On a whim I asked for a swatch for this puppy too!

A little cleaner with nailhead trim at the top. The fabric swatch online looked realllllly yellow and cheap, but I went ahead and asked for it anyways. The result? NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.


The first bed was a buckwheat velvet that looks really mousy and cheap. With a baby, I thought that velvet wouldn't be the safest choice. The second bed the fabric was a really light textured linen. AWESOME. Super durable and would bring some texture to the bedroom overall. 


Soooo the bed got delivered today and it's BEAUTIFUL!! Exceeded all my expectations. Here are some sneak peaks of what it looks like. Final reveal will be on Monday. Stay tuned!!
